The South
Whilst generalising a little we like to divide the different Remote Working Communities into three different areas. The South is the busiest area for Digital Nomads on the island. The North is the original area for Remote Workers on the island. And the Capital Area which is based around the capital of Santa Cruz, is a growing area for Remote Workers who want to come to the island but still have a cosmopolitan lifestyle.
Focusing on the South, the main tourist hotspot on the island. Known for its year-round sunshine and fantastic winter weather (some would say the best in Europe with consistent temperatures of around 22 degrees (around 72 degrees Fahrenheit.) It is a fantastic choice for Digital Nomads who want to escape the winter weather of northern Europe or North America.
The most popular and populous areas are the resort towns of Los Cristianos, Playa Las Americas, and Costa Adeje. These are bustling tourist areas with international cuisine, the most active nightlife on the island, and also great surf spots for people to enjoy.
There are a lot of independent Nomads who live separately in private accommodations and then come together for large community events often organised by the Nomads Den ourselves.
There are also more rural areas still within easy reach of the coast that have fantastic Coliving options, giving you an authentic experience but also linking you to our amazing Digital Nomad Community.
