What’s it like at Nomads Den?
To help you visualise your journey to Tenerife as a Digital Nomad or Remote Worker, we would like to introduce you to Sergio Sala, a well known Digital Nomad vlogger who visits all the popular Digital Nomad destinations so you do not have to.
In this video he explores Tenerife as a whole, visiting all the different areas of the island. From the wild north of Anaga, to Santa Cruz the capital. He takes a look at some of the popular Coliving Solutions around the original Remote Working area of the island (Puerto de la Cruz and La Orotava) he then visits the most busy community on the entire island. The southern areas of Los Cristianos, Playa de las Americas and Costa Adeje, here he visits Zen Den Coworking Tenerife. This is the highest rated Coworking in Tenerife and also the original home of the Nomads Den Community.
Why Tenerife?
Its popularity
Tenerife has long been a popular tourist destination for Northern Europeans seeking to escape the long winters in their own country. The largest and most populated of the Canary Islands. Even though it is located much closer to Africa than to Europe, it has the infrastructure and safety of a European destination.
A lively place
The island now bustles over winter (the high season here for Remote Workers). The community is simply buzzing with events, fully booked Coworking Spaces and Coliving Spaces and vibrant chat across our whastapp groups.
Growth
During Covid, when other Digital Nomad destinations further afield, such as Bali, Thailand, Costa Rica and Mexico became inaccessible. Tenerife’s potential as a leading remote working destination flourished. And the community started to grow. In 2021, Zen Den Coworking was established as a central HUB to service the community and by 2024 it had over 7000 members in the south of Tenerife alone.
Perfect all year long
That does not mean summer is not a good option, although less busy than winter you are more likely to get cheaper accommodation / colivings / coworkings. Plus, it does not get as hot as the likes of Barcelona, Madrid, Seville or Malaga.
